Anybody done it on a 2wd?
Me and my buddy were looking at my truck last night in preperation of the seven speed swap, he told me " lets face it your not gonna get it lifted any higher with out a solid front axle, so lets go the other way... down" Since my gmc is already begging for a cummins of its own, I dont need two 4x4's
And while thats a great idea. I do like the way a first gen dually looks slamed, my trailer hitch is already too fing close to the ground.
So the obvious soultion was airbags, and dually conversion. the next issue is weight the front end hangs enough weight to kill most non commercial parts, and the back? I have a 30 foot 1969 airstream, and seem to tow eveyone elses trailers. would the bags die???
The best benifet of bags would be to "slam it" when playing and have and mantain a nice ride height while towing, like the big trucks with the level valves.
bah I dont have a good side pics to show its current height, Ill get one later
anyone have pics of lowered first gens?
