I bought an 01 sport with plans on selling it. I had to fix the tappet cover leak and so I did. Pulled the pump so on and so forth. The problem now is that once it runs for a while it does not want to start again. If it sits for a period of time 10 to 12 hours it cranks just fine. It cranked and ran just fine before I replaced the gasket. I have bled lines replaced the o ring on the filter cannister and replaced the lift pump. Could I have by chance have a filter in the tank that is clogged and causing it to pull a vacuum that equals out after a period of time. Thanks any help is appreciated.
