My truck through code P2579 "Turbocharger speed sensor circuit performance". So I read a bunch of posts and did as they said, tighten all hose clamps then pulled the sensor and cleaned it off. Now here is where stuff went south I think? Pulled the sensor out to clean it and it was covered in oil, it was dripping oil. I know very little about the turbo, I know it needs oil to lube the bearings. My question is, is the sensor in the oiling area of the turbo or is my turbo toast it is the stock turbo? Turbo was cleaned in the fall and I deleted everything about a month ago with EFI LIVE. Any help is greatly appreciated.
