Hey guys, i have a scangauge on my truck and when i have it on setting to watch boost through the computer, i am a little puzzled, i guess i do not fully understand what boost fooling really does. I thought it was to make the computer not realize overboost so it would keep fueling. So i noticed on start up, with comp on 5x5, boost at idle was -0.7 of boost, then would gradually move up always slightly behind actual on isspro gauge. Then sometimes i would be driving and it would show 15lbs of boost just cruising. So thinking my map was a little off with 164k on it i bought another from geno's. Now the new sensor on start up shows 15 lbs, and like 22lbs on accel like from a light, not full throttle, i was gonna ask if the boost fooling was to show the computer less than real boost, or hold it at a number, i would think by showing 22 i would start to defuel, or maybe not, i tried edge product site, but no real answers there. Any opinion is appreciated.
Thanks guys
