I have close to around 400 hp... J hook, juice w/a, soon to have rv275s, port n polished.. my tranny finally went out at 249000 miles. I'm having the internal labor done by a reputable shop here locally. Doing a single disk converter, the transparts wearhouse rebuild kit with alto red clutches kolene steeles kevlar band etc.. and a transparts hd shift kit that allows full converter flow in park. (I know a lot of people will preach to get a triple disk converter and billet input but I don't want the ty driveability of a triple with a truck not built enough for one.. so a single with low stall 1600 rpm will do..) just curious about how long the alto clutches last? I hear a lot of back and forth but I want to hear some true evidence of people who have them and how many miles they have on them? It's a daily driver, I do a ton of driving Offroad in 4 low, light towing (under 5k), and some playing around on the street..romping on it some but no track.. Thanks all.
