The problems are rolling in one after the other with my truck these past few weeks and the newest one I noticed is I'm not getting any boost over 8psi. These are the codes I came up with PCM 1596, 1693 ECU 1693, 0230, 0216.
I think I read somewhere that boost is also controlled by the amount of fuel the engine is getting (basically a bad electric controller on the VP)?
I've figured out the 1596 is a bad clock spring because my air bag light came on and my cruise control won't even turn on.
I got the 0230 because the LP is hardwired to the battery and a switch.
1693 is a given. lol I just don't like the looks of 0216 because I just replaced my VP44 a week ago but it turned out my LP was bad so the VP may have gotten damaged in that short amount of time since I was putting a good load on the truck with my 32' trailer.
PS. I did check all the IC piping and everything checked out ok.
