I know it's been discussed and I have scoured all of the previous posts but still cannot solve this problem. I just bought a 1995 2500 4X4. Overdrive worked fine for the first couple days until I replaced airfilter(probably no associated with problem) I have replaced my batteries, checked and cleaned PCM harness, replaced rear ABS, trans VSS sensor (twice for good measure), trans temp sender, adjusted/tested my TPS and serviced/adjusted transmission bands. Still no O/D, speedo/Odo, or cruise. I have checked codes and tested voltage on everything with key on engine off.
Rear axle ABS- 4.9v supply/1260 ohm resistance
VSS sensor- 4.9v, 0.0v, 9.0v(code 15-no signal)
Transmission- 0.0v, 12v, 0.0v (L/U-O/D) (code 37-temp)(code 45-open/short)-I did unplug this so maybe that's the open/short?
TPS- Adjusted up a little to 1.3v at idle from 1.0v.
I am hoping someone on this board is knowledgable enough to offer any other possibilities as I have a severe distrust of dealer service. I am wondering if these circuits share a ground at the PCM or any other wiring I could check. Thanks in advance- Nate
