2005 F250 with 03 CR (questions about details)

So I am on the home stretch with this project. I have the truck pretty much finalized besides loom over wiring (leave it off until i know all works), lower radiator hose, and putting the front end back on my truck. I do have a few questions on some details I have yet to finish up.

First thing is I can not seem to get my tach to work. The truck is a ex 6.0 Superduty and I am using a new CPS on a custom bracket off the factory CR tone wheel. The wiring is all correct yet I still have no movement in the tach. I had cut and adjusted the length of the wires but, i took great care in soldering them and wrapping them in foil and tape just like the factory harness. Just to be sure there are only two wires used for the tach which were a blue and gray wire which was also run along as a twisted pair around a ground. Any ideas on how to do some testing to see what is going on?

Second thing is i was wondering if anyone could show me a pic of how they cut and joined their lower radiator hose. I bought a new hose $70 and I do not want to make a single cut until Im sure. There seems to be too few bends in the factory house to get around all that it needs to go around. If the sway bar was not their, i could see it working. Just a few pictures of the lower hose setup would be nice. I have searched with not much results on this.

I also swapped in a 6.0 ZF6 on this project. I left the 5R110 harness in place and utilized some of the wiring for the reverse switch. I also was under the impression that I was to connect two wires from the range sensor which would allow the truck to be put into 4wd. Anyhow, i have done this and the truck will not shift into 4wd. Any ideas for me here? My truck obviously has the ESTC.

On another note, I have this thing running which sure is motivating. I have had my truck torn down going on a year now but the project has been sitting dormant in my shop most of that year. I designed and had made all my conversion parts expect motor mounts which i only purchased to do the time frame for getting motor sitting in truck. It has been a project and for sure being I swapped in a 6.0 ZF6 as well. I expect to keep this truck for a very long time now with out worrying about head gaskets. haha
