What Torque Converter

My transmission is getting tired. It feels like the clutch is slipping... like im driving on sand or mud. I am under the impression that this is caused by the torque converter going bad. My budget is around $500 can you guys throw some recomendations out? I dont have much done to the truck its straight piped, has a cold air, 4k gsk and 60 lb valve springs, #11 fuel plate slid forward and the housing is slid forward as well. After installing the tc the only other modification i plan on installing is a boost elbow. (im running about 20 psi of boost)
