Hello all, new to the forum and desperatly seeking advice/ help from all you experienced guys out there....
I have a 07 2500 QC long box with the 5.9 cummins auto trans 4x4. just turned 120K on it, and had it since new.
I have a predator tuner for it, set on the 2nd setting (tow). I have ran the other settings, fun to play with but the fuel mileage dropped too much. Cold air intake, with K&N round Filter. NO OTHER PERFORMANCE MODS.... YET... just otta warranty... BUt now it acts up, and NO warranty left :banghead:
This past month or so im getting 2 codes, and the engine light comes on. This is almost immediately after I romp it to pass a car, or semi, etc. or playing around a little.
I stomp on it, truck takes off, runs great, pass the other vehicle, let off, and then the check light comes on, truck runs rough, idles crapy, and no power. :confused013:
P303 cylinder 3 misfire, and P2146 I think, group A injector open circuit? this is according to the predator tuner code reader. I checked the valve cover wire connector, no issues. no loose wire issues on top of the injectors. no fuel leaks found so far. :confused013:
If i pull the injectors, where do i look for a crack? if any? I read that the tips are replaceable and upgradeable. If I did that, would that fix my problem or should I bite the bullet and replace the entire injector set? reccommended place for tips/ or injector sets? if Im going to replace them, I want to do it right, and add some mileage and power at the same time.
