Question for a friend of mine...

Hey all, I have a question. A buddy of mine recently bought an '05 Ram 3500 with the 5.9, with under 50k on the clock.

He called me today asking about injectors (I'm not too familiar with the CR 5.9's, I have a '96 7.3 Powerstroke myself). I don't remember his reasoning behind it, but he had is injectors tested today. He said injectors 1, 3, 4, and 6 tested at or close to 110, #2 tested at 73 and #5 was at 90 (I don't know what units of measurements those are tested in...). He's already pricing out new injectors, but I don't want him to go dumping the money on new ones if that's not the root problem.

I have heard the early CR's were finicky, and had problems with sticking injectors and whatnot. I don't really have time to research his problem (or all the symptoms). Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what this might be?

EDIT: He just told me he's positive the injectors are the problem, and he's just going to put reman'd injectors in place of 2 & 5. Any other things to look at before replacing them?
