I have a 2006 Ram 2500 4x4 diesel with auto trans. Last night I was about to get on the highway, went to turn onto the street, pushed the gas, heard a pop, and truck basically felt like it was in neutral, as the engine would just rev. I came to a stop and tried to put it into gear 2 and get nothing...put it in reverse and just get grinding sound. I put it in park and put back in drive and get nothing but grinding. Had the truck towed home, and notice that transmission fluid is all over the place, looks like it is coming from transfer case and not tranny....so....busted tranny or busted transfer case?? Thanks
