I put an EGR disc brake conversion on my old 1998 years ago and it worked flawlessly.
My father who has a 1996 is going to put that same kit on his truck. He told me his kit came with a proportioning valve. I never got one and never had a problem.
Anyone use one with or without? His truck has the standard brake booster where as my truck had the newer style brake booster. I can't see that affecting anything.
The new proportioning valve is a universal fit, that does not just bolt in. It is a cut and fit all new fittings and ends, Total PITA...
