Very hard start cold weather

Its negative 36 here right now, my truck took me 3 tries to start and about a minute and a quarter of cranking. I have a fass 150 and I could hear it gurgling or or something like that. When it started I had to apply a lot of throttlr to keep it running. The amount of WhiteSmoke literally blocked out a 2 lane road with median. Right now the idol is smoothing but when it first started the idol was so rough that it shook the entire truck.

Is this normal?
