hey all i have a 90 5 speed truck that i have been playing with. i guess ill list mods first, before i get into it..

3.5" IC pipes (i had that size laying around)
3200 rpm spring
full power screw turned in "pretty far"
stock smoke screw settings
star wheel should be tuned a bit yet
gauges etc
ground fuel pin
stock timing
i thought my 300k mile old lift pump could use replacement because when i would floor it it would soot, pull reallly hard, and then stop sooting and the turbo would chew chew chew as tho i let off the throttle slow but i was flat out. i know its falling under the turbo from loss of fuel, so i bought a piston lift pump swap kit from diesel auto power. (mind you, i am in NO WAY pointing fingers at JKIDD, i am merely getting ideas before i get to troubleshoot this weekend before anyone gets offended). so i installed said piston lift pump and drove a very short distance home. it was rainy and stuff and i didnt want to beat on it. few days later i drive it normally for a while, and lay into it. it kinda almost felt sluggish, and it didnt soot as much and didnt fall under the turbo, and when i let off at WOT to shift it didnt bark like crazy like normal.'
(at this point i called D.A.P with my concern, and was instructed to put a fuel pressure gauge on it, which i am trying to locate one ASAP)
tonight i installed my M&H timing spacer kit, and i noticed the KSB wasnt plugged in. so, i plugged it in and put the spacer kit on. it runs a little better, nothing crazy, but still just doesnt seem to have the snot it did. i almost feel like i have to push the pedal down harder to do what it so easily did before.
im going to throw a new fuel filter on maybe tomorrow, and hopefully a buddy comes back with good news on a gauge to try. it just seems as tho its lost some pep, and i know it had it before. ideas anyone?
