Well just bought my '02 and the lift pump is failing. FP is sitting at 10psi at idle and WOT drops to 1/0 by 2500rpm. I drove it home on 1500rpm shifts and staying out of boost as much as I can and it seems to stay around 7 cruising. I wont be able to buy an FRRP for probably 2-3 weeks. Now is there any way to tell if the VP is already failing? The guy said he's been putting in ATF to help lube up the VP as the LP just starting dropping a few weeks ago. Will I be able to milk this VP if I stay out of the boost? I only HAVE to drive about 7 miles round trip for work and will probably stay parked other than that until I can afford one.
