As my 3500 hits age 9, it's time for some aesthetic work; I've used it like a truck, and the cumulative little dings and scratches are adding up. I found a new tailgate that comes painted to the color code of choice, and has no holes for anything except the handle. That got me thinking, perhaps I won't replace the 3500 Heavy Duty/Ram/Laramie badges, etc. But that also made me wonder, do any of these trim items have drilled hole, snap-in attachments, or are they glued on? I really don't know. Of course the tailgate will be a done deal, but I need to understand what I am dealing with on the rest of the truck. I'll be doing some spot-paint, so filling holes is not out of the question. I might keep the Cummins "C" on the front fender. But I always thought the lettering was a bit too much "look at me." I have admired more than one vehicle that had a whole different look when factory trim was stripped away. I'll probably do a simple billet drill too. If anybody has been through this move or seen the result, I'd appreciate your thoughts. Pics are nice too! Thanks.
