which clearance lights to get

i am gonna be painting my truck white in a couple weeks and want to put on some clear (white) clearance lights. i have been thinkin about smoked lights too but i am not sure. what is a good brand? i heard recon's are not too good cause they leak and the harness is junk :confused013:
can any clearance lights (3rd gen style) work on our trucks? and how hard is it to line them up straight?
