Finally got my 94 cummins 2500 12v timed enough so she starts and idles fine. Now when i start it up its grayish smoke and when I hit the throttle there's a miss and the smoke seems to get whiter. I took it or a drive down the road an the smoking goes away but when I went to turn around and put it in reverse and back to drive it started smoking again. The kid who previously had it had the idle turned up and the gov spring has been removed.
I'm sure the truck isn't completely timed right since I did it without the dial and attempted to go back to factory timing.
Is there anything else that could be causing the miss and smoke?
