If any of you are running this filter, you might wanna check and see if its actually filtering the oil!! I purchased 4 of these from Geno's a year ago. I noticed the last 2 filters when I changed the oil was only 1/3 full if that! I would prime the filters to the top and let the oil set in until it was completely full, crank the engine over and go! Thinking nothing was wrong. Well after my 2nd oil change with one of the filters I noticed it wasn't full when I removed it.. Got curious after the fresh oil change and drove the truck till it was at operating temperature, got home and removed the new filter and it was less than 1/3 full again!! Went to the parts store and purchased a standard oil filter and primed it, installed it, then drove it down the road and back. That oil filter was doing its job! Long story short, I had 7200 miles of oil not being filtered thanks to Fleet guard for a faulty oil filter recommended for our trucks!! The engine has a total of 8200 miles on it and 7200 of those miles were ran on non filtered oil.. Great!! Of course along the way oil was added due to an oil using issue with the valves so I can say I've added a decent amount of new oil since the engine was installed. Pulling the valve cover and possibly the head this winter for better inspection.
