Here is my situation. 6-7 months back my 2005 24v #1 ex valve seat came out and destroyed #1 cyl and piston. I have been driving my 98 12v welding truck till I could work on the 2005 24v.
I picked up a low mileage pull out of a 2004.5 standard tranny truck. mine is auto.
I swapped over all the components for the automatic. Wiring harness, tranny cooler, my original ECM The fuel filter bowl was different than mine, it had a black plastic solenoid device on the inlet side and it had a different hose connection so I changed it out with mine and left electrical connection hanging there. Mine did not have a electrical connection . Truck starts and idles perfectly. Smooth and good oil psi. but I have no pedal response.
Only thing I can think of is I may need to change out the other half of the wiring harness. As it may not match my ECM ?? This motor came complete and I only change out Harness going to tranny / dash connector.
I do have a Bully Dog installed, left installed to catch any error cods. Other than that its stock. Every thing worked when I parked the truck ( well except for the knock from the valve seat banging between the piston and head.)
I am looking for any ideas to fix this problem. Thanks Anthony
