I installed a Valair dual disk ceramic clutch in my truck last summer. All was good for the first two or three months or so. Than after the truck got to temp. it was hard to get in gear from a stop and the truck seemed to buck like the clutch wasn't disengaging when with the pedal to the floor. The clutch is adjusted per the Valair guidelines.
I talked to Gary at Valair and he wanted me to check fork play. The fork has no side to side play but about 1/4" up and down play. He said either the fork retaining spring popped off or the throwout has shifted on the fork.
This all sounds plausible but, it still works well when the truck is cold, just goes south after it heats up. I just can't wrap my head around why. I would like some ideas before I tear it apart again.
