Hello, I'm 13jeeps and as you can tell from my name...I'm into Jeeps.

I have always been interested in owning a diesel pickup but never really "needed" one and the price of admission to the club was always rather high.

Well I lucked out and came accross a 2004 Ram 2500 that was for sale. It had been stolen and vandalized and the owner wanted to get rid of it and get something else. Because of this the price was right and I bought it.

As I said it's a 2004 Ram 2500, 4x4, 5.9 ISB 305 HO, Automatic, Quad Cab, SLT Laramie, Leather, Red. It's a beautiful truck that needs someone to take care of her and restore her to her former glory.

Some of the problems I quickly discovered are:
Headliner is destroyed: PO had a rear entertainment system that was ripped out along with a good chunk of the headliner.
There is an aftermaket sunroof installed that was broken in the Teft and had the glass replaced by the PO but the mechanism is missing.
Passenger side of the bed had been hit and the PO began repairing it but did not finish. It looks like some sanding and paint is all it will need, along with a new tail lens.
It has mild death wobble; so far I found minor play in the track bar and some worn sway links. Tires are really bad as well which can contribute to this problem.
AC does not blow cold. I can hear the AC Compressor kicking in but it's not cycling like it does when low on freon.
The tail pipe is cut off at the muffler so it'll probably need a new muffler and tail pipe.
It had a really strong onionny smell, almost like bad body odor.
I checked for blow-by by removing the oil cap and there is none. I cannot feel any coming from the dipstick either.
Any thoughts on what else I should check.
