heres the deal. i bought a 47re transmission not knowing it would matter at the time that i had a 47rh in my truck i thought the one i bought was an rh. the clutches were slipping and i bought the trans for 400$ and a friend whos a mechanic was going to put it in for 250$, just enough. the re has a shift kit and other upgrades i think because it shifted really good. well i get a call last night saying that it wouldnt fit and now im kinda ed. now my trucks sitting over there without a transmission in it and i have a junk transmission and a great one that wont fit. the guy i got it from is a friend and he said he would take it back for the 400$ i payed but i have it on CL for 800$. im curious what can i swap from the re to the rh? like every piece. will the valve body work? we are friends with a transmission shop and my dad said he would help out a little moneywise and i have a car im driving for now so i dont need my truck other than work. i need advice and input fast. if i sell the trans for 800$ i should be able to get a valve body shift kit and stage 1 or 2 kit? thanks in advance.
